High school senior Megan Lofton was on top of the world until a life-threatening diagnosis plucks her from her perfect life and drops her into an indefinite stay at the local hospital. 

There she meets fellow patient and unapologetic weirdo, Zach Moore. A resident of the hospital and a “sickie” since birth, Zach’s frank philosophies clash spectacularly with Megan’s “normal” views—but that doesn't stop them from becoming friends.
